Initiatives

Organisations are full of good ideas but many of them get lost in the processes before they ever get considered for implementation. Projcycle makes it easy to capture good ideas and manage the business processes to realise them. Great initiatives can start from anyone in the organisation, from high level management to boots on the ground.

Potential initiatives are everywhere

Utilise the power of your people at all levels of the organisation. New ideas, opportunities, equipment defects or observations can be created by any user and allocated to the relevant organisational departments.

Analyse and Advance

Visualisations help managers quickly and easily assess which initiatives have good cost benefit potential. Progressing an approved item to the next stage is a simple click of a button.

Configurable Approval processes

Projcycle allows users to configure required approval processes depending on the complexity of the initiative. Small budget, low risk initiatives may only need a managers approval as a signed off email. Larger, more complex and higher risk projects may require business case approvals with multiple sign offs at section and department levels. Projcycle can cater to multiple scenarios and report on any bottlenecks in initiative approvals.

New Opportunities awaiting activation

This visualisation allows managers to view all submitted initiatives at the cost to benefit level. Colour coding shows green for better value initiatives and orange or red show lower value cost benefit initiatives. These colour indicators are triggered by the cost / benefit ratio value and can be configured. Managers are able to quickly sort the high value initiatives and progress them for further consideration.

The table below the bubble chart contains further details and managers can activate the initiative for further consideration.

Opportunities awaiting approval

After initial selection in the activation stage, managers further assess, edit and configure approval processes for the initiative. Select chosen project and respond in the approvals and step configuration panel below.

Approvals and Step Configuration

An approval status (Accept, reject, hold) can be selected from the drop down, comments can be added and steps selected or deselected as according to the requirements of the initiative. Once accepted the next step will be triggered in the work flow. If rejected, an email will be sent to the initiative author with the option to include comments.
